The story behind the nutshell

There is a fairytale called "Donkeyskin".
It's about a girl who doesn't want to marry the man she has to. So she comes up with the idea of asking of three dresses (one in the color of the sun, one in the color of the stars and one made of one piece of all the animals of the forest) in order to delay the wedding. Later she runs away and she puts the three dresses inside a nutshell.
The idea of a nutshell like that always amazed me!

And I thought it would make a nice title for my fashion blog . . .

My relationship with fashion is quite romantic.
As long as I can remember myself there were always fashion magazines at home. I loved looking at the photos and reading about styling, fashion history, news of the fashion industry. Since I was a little girl I liked mix and matching my clothes and finding new ways to wear something (like wearing a pink dress with a bow in the back backwards, so the bow would come in front).

Nowadays, I think of fashion as a way of expressing yourself, your mood, your feelings, giving some fairy dust to your every day life, using your imagination to mix 'n' match and create.
When I think the word fashion many things come to my mind:
colors, fabrics, dresses, patterns, tulle, jewels, shapes, glossy magazine pages, flowers, skirts, photographs, art, cardigans, shoes, bags, etc, etc . . . . .
Besides, being a jewelry and accessories designer myself I like keeping in touch with what's going on out there in the fashion world!

So, I see this blog as a kind of fashion notebook (like the notebooks and scrapbooks I was keeping while growing up) that I want to fill with photographs, nice clothes, personal looks, pretty accessories, cute finds, vintage treasures . . . !

So, stay tuned . . . !
